The Mayo Spirit Trek is an excursion that combines trekking in Los Glaciares National Park with a boat trip through the Canal de los Témpanos (Iceberg Channel) on Lake Argentino and a visit to the Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro glaciers and the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways. The only way to access this area from El Calafate is by boat, as these glaciers are located within the Seno Mayo (Mayo Sound) of Lake Argentino.

Our boat trip will take you to one of the most beautiful places in Los Glaciares National Park, which only a few people have the privilege of accessing: the Mayo Channel on Lake Argentino. This area has a microclimate with higher humidity than other parts of the National Park, resulting in a completely different, unique, and beautiful vegetation.

The “Mayo Spirit Trek” is the perfect combination of hikes through forests, with views of waterfalls, rivers, hanging glaciers, and a visit to the unmissable Perito Moreno Glacier (boat trip and walkways). Suitable for all ages, with medium-low difficulty walks, recommended for those who want to discover the “heart of Los Glaciares National Park”.

Service with transfer to the port:

9:10 AM – Boarding at Punta Bandera Port

9:30 AM – Departure

DOES NOT INCLUDE:

Lunch: Passengers must bring their own packed lunch. Food and drinks are not sold on board.
National Park entrance fee: Passengers must pay this fee on the same day at the port. Payment can be made in cash (only Argentine pesos accepted) or by credit/debit card. Please note the promotion: “2nd day visit to the National Park, pay 50% off.”

We recommend wearing several layers of comfortable clothing, comfortable shoes, a jacket (preferably waterproof), gloves, a hat, and a neck warmer or scarf. Bring water, sunscreen, and sunglasses.

Excursion NOT SUITABLE for people with mobility difficulties (use of wheelchair, cane or any problem walking).
