Discover Torres del Paine National Park (Chile) on a full-day excursion. Considered one of the eight wonders of the world, this park is located in the heart of Southern Patagonia, 300 km south of El Calafate. Its unique and striking landscape of mountains, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, flora, and fauna makes it one of the most beautiful parks in the world.

Crossing the Patagonian steppe from north to south, we will reach the Cancha Carrera border crossing (approximately 3.5 hours), from where we will begin our journey through the beautiful south of Chile until we enter Torres del Paine National Park, which means “Blues” in the Tehuelche language, referring to the predominant color.

Once in the Park, we will make several stops, some in the vehicle and others in the car, to admire lakes, waterfalls, and even spot foxes, guanacos, and perhaps pumas, among other native animals.

Aboard our 4×4 overland vehicles, we will visit strategic points, from where we will embark on hikes that will allow us to access panoramic viewpoints of the Park’s most important natural attractions.

Leaving the Cerro Castillo border crossing, we will take the road towards Laguna Amarga, a panoramic viewpoint of Torres del Paine. We will continue by vehicle, stopping at various viewpoints such as Laguna de los Cisnes and the Nordenskjold Upper Viewpoint, until we reach Puerto Pudeto, the starting point for the Salto Grande waterfall hike. Weather permitting, we will hike along the shore of Lake Pehoé to the lower viewpoint of the Cuernos del Paine (Horns of Paine).

The hike is of low technical difficulty and requires minimal physical exertion. It is conducted with our trekking guide, certified by CONAF Chile (National Forestry Corporation of Chile).

After this hike, we will continue by vehicle to another viewpoint, this time near Lake Pehoé, where you will have one of the most famous views in the National Park, with the Cuernos del Paine and the Valle del Francés (French Valley) in the background, framed by Lakes Pehoé and Nordenskjold. From there, you will also see Mount Paine Grande and Mount Almirante Nieto.

From this point, the return to El Calafate begins, arriving at the hotels around 10:00 PM. Depending on the guide’s discretion or restrictions imposed by park authorities, the order of stops may vary. The route may be modified or shortened depending on weather conditions and/or border crossing times.

The arrival time in El Calafate will depend on border formalities.
