Difficulty:

Departures:
All year
The journey begins in El Chaltén, the trekking capital of Argentina. Once we arrive at Puerto Bahía Túnel, located just 18 km from the city center, we embark on a boat trip that winds its way through the turquoise waters of Lake Viedma.
The initial leg of the journey takes us south along the bay, hugging the coastline and offering close-up views of the imposing silhouette of the Huemul Massif, one of the region’s most iconic mountains.
After approximately 40 minutes of sailing, we will arrive at Cape Horn Bay, where we will disembark for an easy hike. The trail leads us to a panoramic viewpoint on the Cape Horn Peninsula, from where an unforgettable scene unfolds: the magical Iceberg Bay, with its drifting icebergs and the backdrop of the Andes Mountains.
After enjoying this unique landscape, we will re-embark for the most anticipated moment of the excursion: approaching the face of the Viedma Glacier. From the deck, we’ll be able to fully appreciate the immense wall of ice, with its bluish hues and ever-changing textures, while the guide explains the history and formation of this ancient glacier, the largest in Argentina.
Finally, we’ll begin our return to the port, carrying with us the thrill of having experienced an authentic adventure in the heart of Patagonia, where adventure meets the contemplation of majestic and unforgettable landscapes.
The experience includes a snack on board: a premium sandwich, mineral water, and a brownie made in El Chaltén.
