We invite you to experience El Chaltén in a unique way, combining breathtaking views of a majestic landscape with adrenaline and contemplation.

The experience begins when we pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate starting at 7:00 a.m. for the 220 km journey to El Chaltén. We’ll travel along the legendary Route 40, skirting Lake Argentino, and cross the Santa Cruz, Río, and La Leona Rivers. After approximately one hour, we’ll arrive at Parador La Leona, where you can enjoy coffee and homemade cakes. From there, we’ll continue our journey along the shores of Lake Viedma.

Once in El Chaltén, we’ll head to the Comarka operations base, located at Av. San Martín 872, where the guides will greet you and provide you with the necessary equipment for the activity.

Once equipped, we’ll travel by vehicle for 5 minutes to the river entrance, where a technical and safety briefing will be given. The first 6 km stretch of the river, with its calm, winding waters, offers the opportunity to admire Mount Fitz Roy and its surrounding peaks, the Andean forest, the steppe, and occasionally, the native wildlife and birds. This is the ideal time to familiarize yourself with the raft and practice the paddling and safety techniques explained earlier.

The second part continues through the canyon. After the initial rapid called “Welcome,” you’ll encounter a series of Class III to III+ rapids for 10 km. It’s time for adventure and adrenaline! Once you’ve completed the descent, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the base while you enjoy a snack and hot drinks to recharge. At the base, you’ll change and have free time until 4:00 PM, when we’ll pick you up at the rafting base (Av. San Martin 872) to begin the return trip to El Calafate.

7:00 AM We pick you up from your hotel, and once the whole group is together, we depart for El Chaltén via Provincial Route 11, then take the iconic National Route 40 north to Provincial Route 23, which will lead us to the town of El Chaltén.
