style=\"font-weight:normal;margin-top:20px;\">El Chalt\u00e9n is a town in the northern zone of Los Glaciares National Park, in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. It is located about 200 km from the international airport of El Calafate and is accessed only by land, traveling the scenic National Route 40 and Provincial Route 41, completely paved, in a journey of approximately 3 hours<\/p>\n<p>It is the youngest town in Argentina, founded on October 12, 1985. Framed by a unique landscape made up of the Fitz Roy massif and its emblematic needles, protagonists of so many postcards, Cerro Torre, Rio de las Vueltas, the forest Patagonian Andes, make El Chalten a special place to connect with Nature and with oneself.<\/p>\n<p>Among the activities that can be practiced, trekking, mountaineering, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, sport fishing, mountain skiing (in winter). <strong>The best time to visit El Chalten is from November to April, although in winter it is an ideal place to practice mountain skiing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The only access route is by land, so you can get there by your own car (or rented) and by bus from Calafate (there are several companies that offer service on a regular basis).
